Economic policy has never been as important as it is now

Economic policy has never been as important as it is now

The President of the Employers' Association, Dr. Rainer Dulger, commented on the position paper on the CDU's economic and financial policy presented today:

Berlin, 15 September 2021 "It is good that the CDU has once again made it clear today that the social market economy is our country's model for success and prosperity. Economic policy has never been as important as it is now. We now need impetus for a strong economy to absorb the Corona consequences.

It is right that the CDU is committed to launching an unleashing package for the German economy. Companies need the freedom to drive innovation and to launch a Germany 5.0. This is a joint effort.

The debt we have had to take on must be repaid, the social security systems stabilised and the jobs we have lost brought back. In addition, we are facing a huge structural change - driven by digitalisation, decarbonisation and demographics. None of this can be done against the economy, but only with it. That's why the CDU's announced moratorium on burdens, the goal of creating less bureaucracy, getting better planning acceleration underway and ensuring solid finances can serve as a guarantee for our prosperity in this country.

Chancellor candidate Laschet has announced a decade of modernisation. We were curious to see how it would be filled with life. Today it was delivered. The Union has the support of German business for these demands."
