The right of nomination for the Executive Board of the Federal Employment Agency lies with the Administrative Council

Regarding the reporting in several media on a possible successor to the Chairman of the Board of the Federal Employment Agency, the Confederation of German Employers' Associations declares:

Berlin, 6 December 2021: "The right to propose candidates for the Executive Board of the Federal Employment Agency lies with the Administrative Board. It is responsible for competently filling the Executive Board in the interests of all the groups represented on the Administrative Board and with in-depth knowledge of the enormous challenges facing the Federal Employment Agency. It is imperative that politicians respect this right of self-administration, which is enshrined in law. We have agreed on a timetable for this with the DGB. It is very irritating when politicians now try to create pre-determinations and facts via the media."
