A timely vaccination summit must contribute to clarity

A timely vaccination summit must contribute to clarity

Berlin, 2 November 2021: "Politicians must not miss the point that we need a clear and unambiguous basis for the further development of our company protection concepts: The employer's right to information about the vaccination or convalescent status must finally be laid down in law. Anyone who hesitates risks a reduction in health protection in our companies!

Whether 2G or 3G: each company must decide for itself which regulations are practicable for it. As is often the case, the rule of thumb is that local companies know best what makes sense for their employees and the company.

Company doctors can help ensure that we make rapid progress with booster vaccinations. Companies and enterprises provide a good vaccination setting for the more than 31 million employees. We employers continue to be ready to support this with our company doctors, if this is the wish of the politically responsible parties. However, we need a reliable legal basis for this. That is why the Corona vaccination regulation must be extended beyond the end of the year in the short term.

We employers expect both the caretaker and a future federal government to adopt a clear new position that provides planning certainty for businesses. A timely vaccination summit must contribute to clarity."
